Nilan Bhotu Valley
is situated at a drive of 40 minutes from Pir Sohawa on the KPK side of
Margalla Hills. It lies at a distance of 27 Kms North-East Islamabad, Pakistan.
It is a nice go to place for enjoyment with your friends and family from
Islamabad.
Getting Around
Getting to Nilan
Bhotu requires a 4WD. The small conventional cars and the motor bikes are not
good enough to run on the roads due to the broken condition of roads. You can
rent a jeep from Islamabad rent a car services. The best time to travel is
during the day due to lack of electricity in the area. You can get lost on your
way back at night time.
Islamabad - Pir Sohawa
Pir Sohawa is located at a distance of 19
km and takes 45 mins from Islamabad, Paved Concrete road. There is a beautiful
landscape located around it.
Pir Sohawa - San Gada Village
Pir
Sohawa to San Gada village takes 25 more minutes to reach. It has got a
paved and concrete road. The journey is full of amazing natural sceneries.
San Gada Village - Nilan Bhotu Village
The journey takes 45 to 1.5 hour more.
The trek is full of mud and gravel. It also contain water streams. The ride is
delightful, beautiful and bumpy and at the end of the road lies the beautiful
destination.

Tour Nilan Bhotu village with your
friends and family. People who like travelling for spiritual reasons can also
visit the place. Chillah Gah of Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi is also situated here.
The place is friendly and good for refreshment.

The weather conditions are quite similar
to Pir Sohawa.
Attraction
Place is famous for a fresh and clean
water stream. It moves all along the way to take the shape of magical ponds.
You can also enjoy swimming if you know it.
The place is surrounded by Murree hills and can be seen from the
location. Fishing is not allowed but the
attraction sight is crystal clear with a water pond full of Masheer fish.
Nilan Bhotu has no culture or history
that makes it popular. However, it became famous after the arrival of Hazrat
Bari Imam. The people living there share Pakhtoon and Pahari lifestyles. The
guides and posters are also available to help in trekking from the San Gada
Village to Nilan Bhotu. Donkeys and Mules are used for luggage transportation.
Language
Potohari is a commonly used language,
however people also understand Urdu.
Safety Precautions
Prepare
for the trip by taking all the proper medications. Be careful when trekking.
You should not indulge yourself into swimming if you do not know how to swim.
Also, do not go fishing as it is strictly prohibited.
