Khanpur Dam is situated on the
Haro River near Potwar Plateau. The Khanpur village lies 25 miles from

History
Khanpur Lake was built in 1953 along with
Khanpur Dam. The dam stretches over 51
meters and has a capacity to save 110,000 acre water. It was also constructed
during the period of Ayub Khan, former president of Pakistan.

The lake is fed by River Haro waters. It
makes for an important source for consumption and agricultural needs. Khanpur
Lake is a reservoir which offers drinking water to Hazara Division. The lake
